The annual Yom Yerushalayim march on Thursday will be scaled down to comply with Health Ministry guidelines, after a High Court hearing and consultations with police.

Instead of the thousands who usually follow a route through the Old City’s Muslim Quarter to the Kosel, 700 people will be allowed to form a human chain around some of the Old City gates. The event will culminate in a ceremony at the Kosel with 450 pre-registered attendees.

Organizers had asked permission for a 3,000-person human chain, with 6 feet between links, extending the center of the capital to the Old City, but accepted the compromise plan.

Arutz Sheva said it would present a 3-hour virtual tour of Yerushalayim on Thursday for those who won’t be able to participate in the march in Israel and abroad.
