Agudat Yisrael chairman and Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman said on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the best candidate for the upcoming Israeli elections.

“We will recommend Netanyahu to extend his term as prime minister for as long as the law allows us to,” Litzman claimed. “He is the best candidate in every aspect, even though we had some arguments regarding the Shabbat in the past.”Litzman also revealed that Agudat Yisrael will not join Gantz if he merges with Lapid. “Lapid harmed us in the past, unlike Liberman who only said he will in his campaign, Lapid did so. We will not merge with Gantz if Lapid joins him.”

“The congestion in the ER is a horrible problem,” Litzman said. “I walk around the hospitals daily, and we did a lot to help the issue, but during the flu season, it is hard. There is a professional committee working on to fill in the gaps.”
