The Southern District Attorney filed an indictment on Thursday with the Beersheba District Court against a Gazan man for smuggling weapons to Hamas and violently protesting on the Gaza border.

According to the indictment, Solomon Qadi, 20, assisted Hamas hundreds of times since 2017 in smuggling ammunition, explosives and a range of other items through underground tunnels from Egypt into Gaza.

Since March, he has also participated in the Gaza border protests, often throwing rocks and burning tires at soldiers and at IDF positions.

On multiple occasions, he has helped break portions of Israel’s border defenses.

Finally, on September 22, he penetrated the IDF’s initial fences and approached an IDF position where he was arrested at gunpoint.
